Vampires (Vampirus sapiens) have been part of human culture since the early middle ages.  They are known to have an inhuman attraction to human blood.  This compulsion put them in the unique position of medical experts during the European Renaissance.  Today, many of them still serve in the medical industry, frequently working in blood banks.

Let’s visit a vampire and her young vampire-in-training, shall we?

Night has fallen. Time to work.

Night has fallen. Time to work.

The night shift has begun, and Angel is ready for her lesson.  Where is the instructor?

The Mistress awaits.

The Mistress awaits.

Ah, there she is.  We can see that Mistress has already been busy this evening.

Nurses ready to work.

Nurses ready to work.

What shall today’s lesson be?  Hmmmm….

Perhaps we should start with this.

Perhaps we should start with this.

Mistress considers teaching Angel the finer points of non-consensual klismaphilia; Angel, however, is not impressed.

I have a better idea.

I have a better idea.

Mistress reconsiders.  Perhaps there is a better way to train this one.  Yesssss, something even more pleasing.  Angel agrees.

Angel's first assignment.

Angel’s first assignment.

“Well,” says Angel, “I’ve never even heard of this.  I wonder what Mistress wants me to do?”

Angel is more than meets the eye.

Angel is more than meets the eye.

Angel has indeed figured out what Mistress’ assignment is for her.

Such a good student.

Such a good student.

Angel, ever the avid learner, licks her lips with anticipation.

The lesson begins in earnest.

The lesson begins in earnest.

Angel worries about hurting Mistress. Mistress reassures her. “With those little teeth?”

The bond between a teacher and student is sacred.

The bond between a teacher and student is sacred.

Mistress thoughtfully hold Angel’s hair out of the way.  Angel thinks, “I wonder if there will be extra credit assignments for me?”

"What was that?"

“What was that?”

Angel is momentarily distracted by a noise, and hugs Mistress for reassurance.

What a silly mistake.

What a silly mistake.

Angel laughs at her own clumsiness.  “I’m sorry,” she says.

Sorry, not sorry.

Sorry, not sorry.

Angel reconsiders.  Perhaps this is part of the lesson, too.

I guess that's why they call it "nursing".

I guess that’s why they call it “nursing”.

The lesson continues as Angel strives to please her Mistress and earn her fangs.

Happy Valentines Day!  (And don’t forget the associated holiday on March 14th!!)
