The Cat Fanciers’ Association bills the Del Mar Fairgrounds cat show as “The Super Bowl of Cat Competition.” So, let’s take a look and see what we can see.
Here we are, all dressed up to see the cats. Meow.
Everyone enjoys looking at pretty cats. And some are prettier than others!
Did you know that cats are mammals? That means they have mammary glands that, on occasion, are sucked.
And here we have your typical cat fancier who enjoys all the kitties here at the fair.
Cats have only recently been domesticated, so they still love being outdoors. Nice kitties!
All cats stretch. It keeps them flexible and limber.
Cats enjoy playing in water, especially in fountains. See the happy kitties? They enjoy getting wet.
Cats pounce on their prey. In order to do this, they first coil their muscles in preparation.
The cats then push off, hurling themselves through the air.
The kitties are in the air.
This is a really good jump, don’t you agree?
If there had been prey, say, meat of some sort, that meat would now belong to the kitties.
At this point, the kitties would be licking themselves clean, ready to find more meat and pounce again.
As anyone with cats will tell you, cats will chase a laser pointer in a circle until they get dizzy and drop.
Kitties love being fun kitties.
Again, I’d like to point out that cats are in the family class Mammalia, which are characterized by the presence of milk-producing mammary glands.
